Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To determine if the preoperative fecal microbial metabolic profiles can predict the occurrence of surgical site infections. Preoperatively: Baseline health data, nutrition data, stool sample Intraoperatively: o Mucosal swabs o Blood from central venous catheter and portal vein o Mesenteric lymph node o Intestinal specimen Postoperatively: o If a surgical site infection occurs samples from infected site

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The integration of preoperative fecal metagenomic microbial signatures and nutritional profiling can predict the occurrence of surgical site infections in pancreatic surgery.
