Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with dentofacial anomalies and bimaxillary osteotomy at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - under 18 years of age - not capable of giving consent

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Our main hypotheses are as follows: (1) Patients with dentofacial anomalies show significantly poorer results in torso and head posture and movement compared to a healthy control cohort. (2) After undergoing bimaxillary repositioning surgery, patients show a significantly improved difference in their torso and head posture and movement compared to before the surgery.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Our secondary hypotheses are as follows: (1) The healthy cohort shows a significantly higher self-selected walking speed than patients with dentofacial anomalies of the same age groups and gender. (2) The gait patterns of patients with dentofacial anomalies can be divided into clusters in terms of kinetic and kinematic parameters. These clusters show significant differences between each other.
