Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Primary diagnosis of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) Clinical suspicion of acute relapse or appropriate age, gender, and immunotherapy for patients in the acute relapse group

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Secondary progressive multiple sclerosis

MeasureTime frame
The aim of the study is to identify a reliable biomarker profile that changes at the time of an acute relapse and after it has subsided. The parameters are measured at the time of inclusion, after one month, and after three to six months. The biomarkers neurofilament (NfL) and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) are measured, the proteome is examined, and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) are analyzed from blood. To objectively confirm that a relapse has occurred, a MRI check is performed after three months.
