Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - age of 18 - 29 years (group 1) or 65+ years (group b) - able to walk for 200 meters - walking ability of 60 meters without the use of walking aids - ability to negotiate a flight of stairs (13 steps, regardless of negotiation strategy)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - body weight >150kg - balance disturbances that can disturb the ability to walk - congenital or acquired changes of the musculoskeletal system that is accompanied by relevant changes in gait, including lower extremity prothesis - Pain that leads to changes in gait and stance ability - neurologic diseases or lowered sensitivity at the extremities - Wounds or acute inflammation on body regions where inertial sensors are placed - acute injuries - eye diseases with an impaired eyesight that cannot be corrected - surgeries at any extremities in the last 12 months - limited ability to follow the instructions (e.g. cognitive impairment, hearing impairment, insufficient ability to understand German)
