Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Former VLBW infants born before the completed 32nd week of gestation at the LMU hospital perinatal center as well as term born infants at the age of 12 years.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • No parental or caregivers´ consent. • Severe neurologic impairment that does not allow lung function and exercise capacity testing. • Severe congenital malformation according to the international classification (excluding inguinal hernia, PDA, atrial septal defects, ventricular septal defects and all congenital anomalies that do not affect pulmonary, cardiovascular and psychomotor capacities). • Oligohydramnios before 22 weeks´ gestation.

| Lung function and cardiovascular phenotype in BPD as well as differences in microbial-epigenetic-immuno-metabolic profiling between infants with and without BPD. Further, the PRIORITY study covers former very preterm infants that are at particular risk for lifelong sequelae of psychomotor outcomes, somatic growth and subjective wellbeing, education and participation in the labor market and building up friendships and families. | — |
