Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. gestational age < 34 weeks gestation 2. invasive ventilation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. severe congenital pulmonary or cardiac malformations 2. chromosomal abnormalities 3. severe ventilatory instability

• Influence of inspiratory time on transpulmonary pressure • Influence of inspiratory time on homogeneity of lung ventilation (EIT)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
• Influence of inspiratory time on compliance and resistance • Influence of inspiratory time on the necessary inspiratory pressure at constant tidal volume • Determination of variability in time constants • Stability of ventilation (CO2 and SpO2 fluctuations)
