Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary objective is to select psychometrically suitable items from the developed item pool for the construction of a short economic questionnaire (12–16 items) for assessing body image. Item selection is based on exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Item statistics (e.g., discrimination, item variance) and internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha) of the overall scales and subscales are calculated to assess the reliability of the developed instrument. To test construct validity, correlations with theoretically related or presumed mediating constructs (e.g. body satisfaction, affect regulation, childhood distress) are examined.
