Conditions

General shoulder complaints. These can include pain, restricted mobility, osteoarthritis, or previous inflammation of the joint. There must be no underlying condition requiring surgery, and no prior surgery must be performed

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: German language level B2 CEFR - General limitation of the shoulder apparatus, e.g., pain, restricted mobility, reduced strength

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Age under 18 years - Language level below CERF B2, as the instructions and explanations in the training videos are in German. Furthermore, the assessments can only be completed in German and require a more complex language level. - Significant shoulder joint disease, e.g., following shoulder dislocation - Previous shoulder surgery - Dementia - No or insufficient ability to access the offered content via an electronic device (e.g., computer or tablet)

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome measure is the change in the performance of everyday activities with a focus on the upper extremities, which is assessed using the Western Ontario Shoulder Instability Index (WOSI) score.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary target variables are the improvement of the strength of the muscles involved in shoulder mobility, which is recorded with an active strength test, as well as the change in the active range of motion
