Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • age = 18 years • indication for elective open aortic surgery • capacity to provide informed consent • written informed consent to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • impaired mobility • anticipated insufficient compliance or adherence to the ERAS pathway • individuals lacking decision-making capacity
