Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Three months after endometriosis surgery, an ultrasound scan is performed to assess adhesions in various areas of the lower abdomen using the sliding sign. Adhesions are classified into four stages: no adhesions (0 points), minor adhesions (1 point), numerous adhesions (2 points) and severe adhesions (3 points). The individual scores are summed up, and the totals for both study arms are compared pre- and postoperatively.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The following secondary endpoints will be assessed during the follow-up examination three months after surgery: • Postoperative pain • Postoperative complications • Postoperative ovarian volume • Postoperative uterine volume • Endometriosis-specific symptoms • Postoperative inflammation parameters
