Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Written, dated and signed informed consent obtained after proper information has been provided Diagnosis of coronary artery disease (CAD) Preserved left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF = 50%) Clinically stable health status Planned routine spiroergometry at the Sport Cardiology Clinic Cologne (Dr. med. Jürgen Fritsch)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Acute cardiac events (e.g., myocardial infarction within the last 6 weeks) Atrial fibrillation Mechanical heart valve replacement Heart failure (HFrEF, HFmrEF, HFpEF) Implanted medical devices (e.g., pacemaker, implantable cardioverter-defibrillator [ICD] with pacemaker function) — participation only with individual physician approval Heart surgery = 3 months prior to study participation Skin conditions or scars in the sternum area that could interfere with sensor placement Severe comorbidities potentially affecting the cardiovascular system Language or cognitive impairments preventing adequate information and participation
Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Agreement between VO2max values estimated by seismocardiography and those directly measured by cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) in cardiac patients. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| * Assessment of the influence of demographic and clinical characteristics (e.g., age, sex, body weight) on the accuracy of VO2max estimation by seismocardiography (SCG). * Analysis of the correlation between SCG-derived VO2max and ventilatory thresholds (e.g., anaerobic threshold). * Evaluation of the practicability and acceptance of SCG measurement in routine clinical settings. | — |
