Group 1: Family caregivers who regularly support a relative or close person with activities of daily living will participate in the study.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: • caring for a family member or friend on a regular base including support in activities of daily living, such as giving help with personal hygiene, dressing, movement • Can speak, read and understand the German language • Physical and emotional able to take part on the educational program
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • current participation in a caregiver support program with similar content to the educational program studied

| The educational program qualifies as a complex intervention, making a mixed methods approach essential for its evaluation. Triangulation of quantitative metrics (e.g., self-efficacy scores) and qualitative data (e.g., caregivers’ narratives) provides a comprehensive and robust assessment of the program’s effectiveness and relevance. The primary endpoint is family caregivers’ self-efficacy regarding activity of daily living support. The assessment will take place at two time points – before the start (T0) and after completion of the educational intervention (T1). Measurement will be carried out using a self-efficacy questionnaire, which will be completed by the family caregivers themselves. | — |
