Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: physically active women with a natural menstrual cycle (between 21 and 35 days)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Injuries or acute/chronic diseases Use of medication or performance-enhancing substances Hypertension Sensory disorders (e.g., due to diabetes) Circulatory and coagulation disorders (e.g., history of transient ischemic attack, stroke, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, peripheral arterial disease) Amenorrhea or dysmenorrhea Menstrual cycle irregularities Use of contraceptives Use of hormone replacement therapy Polycystic ovary syndrome Endometriosis Metabolic disorders Use of medication affecting muscle function Eating disorders
