Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: • Visit to a general practice with a planned personal consultation with a general practitioner • Sufficient knowledge of the German language • Written and oral informed consent to participate in the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • Patient without capacity to consent • Already diagnosed illness associated with severe cognitive impairment (e.g., dementia)

| Determination of the sensitivity and specificity of the cut-off points of the Somatic Symptom Disorder B Criteria Scale (SSD-12). Examination of the diagnostic accuracy of the combination of the SSD-12, the Somatic Symptom Scale-8 (SSS-8), and an item assessing symptom duration (Criterion C: symptoms persisting for at least six months). In the long term, the study aims to investigate to what extent the SSD-12 (and the SSS-8) can support the diagnosis of Somatic Symptom Disorder in primary care. | — |
