All
Age
18 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 2. an ENT-specialist proven diagnosis of a) otosclerosis, b) acute otitis media (OMA), or c) chronic otitis media (OMC) on one or both ears, 3. no prior “major” middle ear surgery (except for tympanic paracentesis and tympanostomy tube placements), 4. existence of both tone and speech audiometry data, 5. normal bone conduction audiometry (bone conduction better than 30 dB in every tested frequency), and 6. a conductive hearing loss of 10 dB or more in at least 3 different tested frequencies

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. minority (age under 18), 2. absence of the aforementioned diagnoses, 3. previous “major” middle ear surgery, 4. absence of pure-tone and/or speech audiometry data, 5. pathological bone conduction audiometry (bone conduction worse than 30 dB in one or more of the tested frequencies), and 6. a conductive hearing loss of 10 dB or more in fewer than three different tested frequencies.
