Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The study population will include all consenting adults undergoing primary knee or hip arthroplasty who meet the indication criteria for a DEXA scan.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria are lack of consent capacity, minors, patients with existing metal implants in both hip joints as well as in the lumbar spine, and patients undergoing prosthesis revision surgery.
