Inclusion criteria: Families with a child who has a cochlear implant Sufficient knowledge of German Currently undergoing follow-up therapy for cochlear implants at CIC Friedberg Written consent to participate in the study Normal nonverbal cognitive development (SON-R) at the start of the study =90

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Insufficient knowledge of German.

Measure	Time frame
The quality of interaction is assessed using the EKIE-hör test as well as the Interact program at the beginning and at the end of the study period.	—

Secondary

Measure	Time frame
In addition, routine evaluations of hearing and speech development are conducted using standardized procedures (SETK2 and SETK3-5). To ensure normal cognitive nonverbal development, the SON-R is also administered. Furthermore, routine data are collected (including auditory discrimination ability with CI, daily CI wearing time).	—
