Interventions

Group 1: People who have a score of >13 on the Beck depression inventory revision (BDI-II) at the first measurement point are asked once a week over a period of 12 weeks about their depressive symptom

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: for the group "depressive individuals": BDI-Score >13 for the group "healthy individuals": BDI-Score =13

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: schizophrenia bipolar disorder acute suicidality

Depressive symptoms (BDI-II, T1-T12) Selfefficacy-expectation and control experience (Self-Efficy Scale, T1-T12, 5 minutes) Expectations on the symptom course (Recorded at symptom level for each item of the BDI-II using a Likert scale from 1 to 5 at each measurement point T1-T12) Attribution of causes (Recorded at symptom level for each item of the BDI-II using a dichotomous response scale “biological” vs. "psychological" with an alternative option “other” at each measurement point T1-T12)
