Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient on the psychiatric ward (intervention group) or prisoner, sentenced or on remand, on another ward (control group), in Neumünster Prison

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Lack of language skills - Intellectual disability - Severe mental symptoms (e. g. acute suicidality, florid psychosis) where self-report is unreliable or contraindicated - Remaining prison sentence < 6 weeks

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Self-report questionnaires at the time of admission/start of study participation (T1) and after 6 weeks (T6W). For the patient group, if T6W ? time of treatment termination, questionnaires are also surveyed exploratively at time of treatment termination (T2). Outcome measures are: 1) Psychological symptoms, measured through Symptom Checklist 90 Revised (SCL-90-R) 2) General treatment outcome (symptoms, functioning, well-being, risk of self-harm or harming others), measured through Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluations - Outcome Measure (CORE-OM) 3) Quality of life, measured through EUROHIS Quality of Life Index (EUROHIS-QoL)
