Up to three attempts may be made to define a biopsy as successful for a given activation time. – Serosal perforation – Histological quality (tissue architecture, proportion of submucosa, fragmentation) – Depth of tissue penetration in mm (measured pathologically) – Crush artifacts – Degree of dysplasia – Number of crypts – Assessment of architectural preservation – Deepest tissue layer reached – Exploratory: Histopathological tumor staging | — |
