Conditions

Young adults (18-30 years) receiving inpatient psychiatric/psychotherapeutic treat-ment at Clinic Barmelweid, presenting with difficulties in emotion regulation and/or dissociative symptoms.

Interventions

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Between 18 and 30 years old - Patients in inpatient psychotherapy at Barmelweid Clinic - DERS-16 score equal to or higher than 34 points

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Diagnosis of schizophrenia or bipolar disorder - History of epilepsy or cerebral seizures - Body Mass Index below 15 kg/m²

Primary outcomes are feasibility data: - Recruitment rate (number of eligible participants divided by the number of screened participants) - Retention rate (number of participants who complete the study divided by the number of enrolled participants =80%) - Protocol adherence (number of completed sessions divided by the number of planned sessions =90%) - Data quality (percentage of usable EEG/fNIRS recordings =85%) - Adverse events (frequency and severity of reported side effects)

Secondary Endpoints: - DERS-16 and SEK-27 scores (at baseline and changes between baseline and post-intervention (after week 6)) - A-DES-II scores (at baseline and changes between baseline and post-intervention (after week 6)) - Evaluation of the clinic’s standard diagnostics (at baseline and changes be-tween baseline and post-intervention) - Occipital alpha activity measured by EEG/fNIRS (at baseline and changes be-tween baseline and post-intervention (week 6)) - Participant satisfaction scores from session feedback forms
