Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - patients aged = 18 years and = 67 years eligible for LuTx at LMU Klinikum Munich - written informed consent from the patient

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - patient's refusal to participate in the study - patients diagnosed with HIV infection or active hepatitis

The primary aim of this non-interventional observational study is to investigate the changes of alpha diversity (species richness) and beta diversity (microbial relatedness) of the lung microbiome in patients after lung transplantation based on specimens obtained by bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) and endotracheal aspirate (ETA).	—

This study also includes the analysis of the gastrointestinal microbiome following lung transplantation, as well as the identification of potential risk factors for infections and rejections.	—
