Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Only binary individuals (female/male) aged 18 years and older who are scheduled for a planned surgical procedure under intubation anesthesia are included. The focus on binary genders serves to specifically investigate gender-specific differences in the predictive validity of established airway scores. In addition, the small number of non-binary people may jeopardize anonymity.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Persons under the age of 18 and patients who are pregnant are excluded from participation. Patients with known anatomical abnormalities in the oronasopharyngeal region or with previous surgical interventions in this region are also not included in the study, as these factors could significantly influence the standardized assessment of the airway situation and thus limit the comparability of the data.
