Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient cohort: The primary diagnosis is either a tic disorder (F95.1, F95.2) or essential tremor (G25.0) according to ICD-10 criteria. Treatment with deep brain stimulation (Percept PC or Percept RC neurostimulator). Participant cohort: no additional inclusion criteria.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Acute suicidality Severe psychiatric symptoms Severe internal (medical) comorbidities Severe neurological comorbidities or pre-existing conditions Substance dependence (excluding nicotine) Intellectual disability

MeasureTime frame
Movement adaptation-related activity and connectivity between the sensorimotor cortex and thalamic electrodes in the beta frequency band (15–30 Hz).
