Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - chronic low back pain (at least 3 months) - written consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - back surgery in the patient‘s history - low back pain that is rated < 3 on the NRS scale 0-10 - regular use of pain killers at the beginning of the intervention - any additional therapy or treatment that is planned during the intervention

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Pain intensity on the NRS scale (0-10) after two weeks (4 therapy sessions)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
each of the following parameters is measured a the beginning, after 4 sessions and at the end of the intervention: - Pain (on NRS, 0-10) after 18 sessions, also taken in each session - quality of life (SF-36), functional impairment (ODI), fear avoidance beliefs (FABQ) - thickness of the multifidus muscle and the thoracolumbar fascia (via ultrasound) - muscle activity (via EMG) at rest, during functional tasks
