Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Confirmed diagnosis of systemic sclerosis according to the 2013 ACR/EULAR classification criteria Available HRCT of the thorax DXA scan performed within ±6 months of the HRCT examination
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Missing HRCT or DXA scan, or a time interval between the two examinations exceeding ±6 months Anatomical or pathological alterations that could significantly distort bone density measurements by HRCT or DXA, such as severe degenerative spinal changes or osteolytic/osteoblastic lesions Presence of known secondary causes of osteoporosis (excluding SSc), including prolonged high-dose corticosteroid therapy (>7.5 mg prednisolone equivalent daily for more than 3 months), metabolic bone diseases (e.g., primary hyperparathyroidism, renal osteodystrophy), multiple myeloma, or severe endocrine disorders (e.g., untreated Cushing’s syndrome, untreated hypogonadism, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus) Inadequate image quality of HRCT or DXA Missing or incomplete patient data
