Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
-Differentiation between bacterial and viral infections or no infection, in Kids and adults -Detection of a broader spectrum of nosocomial pathogens by using breath analysis -Testing for the reproducibility of different E-Nose-devices

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
-Identification of candidate VOCs that may enable the detection of an infection by using optimized methods such as customized sensor arrays or pre-analytical enrichments of the VOCs -Validation of preknown diseases with the breath gas analysis -Practicability of the E-Nose method in children and adult patients
