| Physical strain: Assessed via the chronic disease-subscale of the Working Ability Index. Mental strain: Assessed via one item of the WAI-subscale and via the cut-off of the PHQ-4 > 5. Perceived self-efficacy: Assessed via a a self-build questionnaire, consisting of six items. A four-point likert scale is used. Health literacy: Assessed via the HLS19-Q12. Measured on a four-point likert scale. Protective behavior: Assessed via the protective behavior scale of the Health-promoting Efforts Against Adverse Effects of High Temperatures-Questionnaire (HEAT). Measured on a four-point likert scale. Protective intention: Assessed via one item, asking for protective intent. Measured on a 100-point-VAS-scale. Heat Risk Perception: Assessed via a self-build instrument, based on a general three-dimensional-measure. All scales use a six-point likert scale for measurement. Heat Risk Perception, Affect: Consists of a subset of six positive and negative affect schedule-items measuring negative affect. Heat Risk Perception, Probability: Five self-constructed items.
