Conditions

To examine the psychometric properties of the German version of the YP-CORE, data will be collected from both clinical samples (across different diagnoses) and non-clinical samples.

Interventions

Group 1: Non-clinical sample: Test-retest assessments at secondary schools of different types in German-speaking regions Group 2: Clinical sample: Repeated outcome measurements over the course of trea

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
- Acceptability (measured as item completion ratio) - Internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha, Omega coefficient) - Convergent validity (Pearson’s correlation coefficients / Spearman’s rho) - Factor structure (exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses) - Referential distributions (descriptive statistics depending on age groups and gender, including calculation of statistically significant mean differences) - Test-retest stability (Pearson’s correlation coefficients / Spearman’s rho; only in non-clinical sample) - Sensitivity to change over the course of psychotherapy (measured as standardized response mean; only in clinical sample) - Sessional patterns of change in YP-CORE scores over the course of psychotherapy - Indicators of clinically significant change (Reliable Change Index, Clinical Cut-Off Score) To assess convergent validity, the following questionnaires are used: In the non-clinical sample: - German child version of the Emotional and Psychological Outcome Item (EPO-1-K; In-Albon, 2025) - German self-report version (25 items) of the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ-Deu; Goodman, 2005) - German short form (25 items) of the Revised Children’s Anxiety and Depression Scale (RCADS; Chorpita & Spence, 1998; adapted by Manuel S. Sprung, based on the translation of the RCADS-47 by the German Paediatric Pain Centre) - German self-report version (17 items) of the Pediatric Symptom Checklist (Dippel et al., 2025) In the clinical sample: - German child version of the Emotional and Psychological Outcome Item (EPO-1-K; In-Albon, 2025) - German self-report version (25 items) of the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ-Deu; Goodman, 2005)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To describe the sample, control for potential confounding variables, document inclusion and exclusion criteria, and conduct exploratory analyses, additional sociodemographic and diagnostic information will be collected from participants. If the data permits, analyses will be conducted to examine the impact of factors such as school type, migration background, and parental education on referential YP-CORE score distributions, or the effect of diagnostic group on changes in YP-CORE scores over the course of psychotherapy.
