Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Parents of hospitalized patients • Minimum age: 18 years • Willingness and informed consent to participate in the interview • Good knowledge of German • Criteria for patient selection:- Minimum hospital stay of 72 hours, - Admission of an accompanying person, - Age = 9 years Nursing professionals • Minimum age: 18 years • Willingness and informed consent to participate in the interview • The nurse, who was responsible for the nursing process, cared for the selected patient during at least two shifts • Good knowledge of German • Licensed/qualified nurse (or equivalent professional qualification, regardless of job title)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • Lack of informed consent to participate in the study • Language barriers • Parents of patients:- In life-threatening or critical situations (e.g., terminal patients, newly diagnosed chronic conditions), - With unstable health conditions • Nursing professionals: - Close personal relationship to the researcher, - Nursing professionals currently in the process of professional recognition (validation of qualifications)
