Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Presentation to a memory clinic due to memory problems reported by the patient or others • Impaired memory performance, assessed using standardized neuropsychological tests • (corrected) adequate vision and hearing, as well as adequate language skills (prerequisite for a differentiated neuropsychological examination)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Serious pre-existing medical conditions as potential causes of memory impairment (e.g., schizophrenia, psychosis, severe depressive episode, mania, personality disorders, territorial cerebral ischemia, cerebral ischemia with residual deficit, epilepsy, Parkinson's syndrome, history of whole-brain irradiation, cerebrospinal fluid circulation disorders, acute or chronic CNS disease, intracranial malignancies, alcohol or drug addiction) • Inability to give informed consent
