Interventions

Group 1: Interviewing patients, triage staff, doctors and the ambulance service to assess the patients urgency by arrival in the emergency department and determine the diagnosis and resources required

Inclusion criteria: All patients of the central emergency department

Exclusion criteria: Patients from the emergency bay

Measure	Time frame
The aim of this study is to use the questionnaires and assessments of urgency to find out where there is room for improvement in triage in order to avoid conflicts and make the processes more transparent and simpler for everyone involved in the emergency department. The data will also be used to compare different triage systems (in particular MTS and ESI).	—
