Group 1: Data base - Hernia Surgery University Medical Center - University of Freiburg The aim of the study is to generate and maintain a data base for hernia surgery at our university medical center.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient underwent hernia surgery (Groin- and/or ventral hernia repair) since 01.01.2018

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Age < 18 years - patients with financial dependence on the principal investigator/employees of the University Hospital Freiburg - legally incapacitated patients / prisoners
