Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with diagnosed periodontitis who are currently in the supportive periodontitis therapy phase (a: who have undergone UPT sessions at least once a year over a period of =4 years) with a patient age >18 years and no current need for active treatment will be included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded from the study if they did not give consent to the data analysis, if they did not attend a UPT follow-up appointment at least once a year during the observation period, if they died or if there was insufficient documentation to show whether they were treated with PWS or conventionally during the observation period.
