Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who fulfilled the criteria for unilateral CRPS I affecting the upper extremity, according to the clinical Budapest criteria. The event leading to CRPS was ago for minimum two months. The duration of the disease was no longer than six months from the onset of the event leading to CRPS I.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The absolute temperature side-to side difference for each region of interest (T1=distal phalanx of the index finger, T2= proximal phalanx of the middle finger, T3=radiocarpal joint, T4=distal forearm) is recorded. The arithmetic mean of these four regions (TA = average distal limb temperature difference) is calculated.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
visual analog scale, duration of the disease. Sensory, vasomotor, sudomotor, motor/dystrophic changes.
