Group 1: Observational study: The study population comprises all continuously insured persons aged 65 and over. The observation period is 2020-2025.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Continuous statutory health insurance from 2020 to 2025 (insurance gap not greater than a maximum of 30 days per calendar year, with the exception of death).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Persons younger than 65 years; Interruptions in SHI insurance between the years 202 and 2025 that are longer than >30 days/calendar year, with the exception of death.

Recording of Long COVID using a specific ICD-10 code U09.9! and based on a two-step symptom-based approach to estimate the number of underreported cases in the elderly population.
