Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Differences in cortical activity in the frontal, central and parietal cortex regions focusing on the following frequencies: Delta (1-4 Hz), Theta (4-7.5 Hz), Alpha-1 (8-10 Hz), Alpha-2 (10.5-12.5 Hz), Beta-1 (13-18 Hz), Beta-2 (18.5-25 Hz) pre and post a four-week home-based box breathing training.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Feasibility of box breathing (adherence, adverse effects, subjective perception) Effect of box breathing on perceived stress (Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) 0-10 and Perceived Stress Scale – 4 (PSS)
