Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult women (= 18 years of age) Planned delivery via primary / elective cesarean section at = 37+0 weeks of gestation Singleton pregnancy with physiological course Healthy mother and healthy newborn without postpartum complications Intention to breastfeed Sufficient knowledge of German to participate in counseling Written informed consent to participate in the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Multiple pregnancy Preterm birth (< 37+0 weeks of gestation) Serious maternal or neonatal pre-existing medical conditions Postpartum admission of mother or newborn to intensive care Medical contraindication to breastfeeding Insufficient German language skills No planned cesarean section
