Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - previously untreated liver metastasis from colorectal cancer with indication for a hemihepatectomy - size of the metastasis to be resected = 1,5 cm - ability to understand the protocol and give informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - medical or psychological impairments or legal restrictions resulting in reduced capability to give informed consent - lack of any of the listed inclusion criteria - if the pathologist determines, that the integrity of the vascular system of the resected tissue has been compromised (e.g. through surgery or intraoperative biopsy for rapid histopathological workup) rendering perfusion impossible, the patient will be excluded - if histopathological workup after the library perfusion will unexpectedly yield a diagnosis other than the expected cancer entity, the patient will be excluded from the trial
