Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Primary or secondary restoration required on at least 2 PM or molars (cavity classes I & II), Bucco-oral extension of the cavities at least 1/3 of the cusp distance, Teeth with positive sensitivity, Teeth with antagonistic contact, proximal contact, Consent of the patient (informed consent).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: No possibility of recall, severe systemic diseases, proven allergy to ingredients, Pregnancy and breastfeeding period, incomplete hygienic stage or poor oral hygiene, preoperative pulp problems, root-treated teeth, Teeth with direct overcapping, bruxism, adequate drainage not possible.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Clinical long-term success of a dual-curing universal bonding agent system in self-etch mode in combination with the nanohybrid-ORMOCERE in the posterior region after 48 months.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Long-term development of the clinical parameters (FDI criteria) of the restorations with the nanohybrid-ORMOCERE in the restored posterior cavities over 48 months.
