Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Written informed consent to the study - Presence of at least two of the following risk factors for basal cell carcinoma: -- Age = 65 years -- Skin type I or II according to Fitzpatrick scale -- Diagnosis of basal cell carcinoma in the past -- Chronic exposure to sunlight --- of at least 20 years in the context of professional activity or --- of at least 30 years in the context of leisure activities -- Diagnosis of a genetic syndrome with an increased risk of developing basal cell carcinoma (Gorlin-Goltz syndrome, Bazex-Dupré-Christol syndrome, Rombo syndrome) -- Condition after radiotherapy in the head/neck area
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Insufficient cognitive capacity to consent to the study - Presence of a skin disease in the examination area which significantly restricts the examination conditions (e.g. but not limited to extensive nevus flammeus, acne conglobata) in the opinion of the investigator - Disease or condition that makes examination with LC-OCT impossible - Previous participation in the study
