Can the use of a whole-body skin scanner in a teledermatological setting improve dermatological care for people living in rural areas? This study is a pilot project. The healthcare service is to be tested and evaluated with regard to its practicality and acceptance among the population. This will be assessed using both qualitative and quantitative surveys.

Does access to dermatological care become easier for people in rural areas through the use of a telemedicine-operated whole-body skin scanner compared to standard care? Do individuals and (medical) professionals perceive barriers and challenges regarding the implementation, perceived benefits, and acceptance of a telemedicine-operated whole-body skin scanner? Does the use of a telemedicine-operated whole-body skin scanner influence the uptake of skin cancer screening? How satisfied are individuals in rural regions with a telemedicine-operated whole-body skin scanner used for initial skin assessment as a basis for appointment scheduling? Does the use of a telemedicine-operated whole-body skin scanner lead to an improvement in quality of life for affected individuals? Are healthcare professionals satisfied with the telemedicine-operated whole-body skin scanner? What financial savings do patients experience through the use of the telemedicine-operated whole-body skin scanner? To what extent can initial dermatological assessments be standardized and potentially automated in the future?
