Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: World Athletic Score >400.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Acute musculoskeletal injuries, pain, or injuries in the last three months are exclusion criteria.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome is running economy in AFTs and non-AFTs. Will 12 weeks of training in AFTs lead to a more improved running economy in AFTs compared to training in traditional footwear?

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary endpoints are: - Spiroergometry - Lactate and heart rate data - Biomechanics of the lower extremity - Injuries during the intervention period - Achilles tendon quality
