Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Children with early childhood caries (ECC) - Children with non-compliance for caries therapy under local anaesthesia - Parents or legal guardians of the above-mentioned children - Children with early childhood caries (ECC)

Exclusion criteria: - General illnesses - Regular use of medication

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1) Improvement in oral health literacy: Is the improvement in oral health literacy (OHL) measured using the Oral Health Literacy Profile questionnaire (OHLP) of parents with a migration background significantly lower than in the control group without a migration background?

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1) Influence of translation: How is the change in OHLP influenced by the type of health education (native speakers, professional interpreters, lay interpreters or translation via smartphone)? 2) Utilisation of follow-up appointments: Do participants with a high OHL attend more follow-up appointments than participants with a low OHL?
