Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The primary outcome is 30 participants: data collection will take place from September 1st, 2025 to September 30th, 2026 and allows a sample size of around 30 participants during this period. The planned prospective study combines quantitative and qualitative methods to comprehensively evaluate the effectiveness of theater therapy in the oncological care and aftercare (a maximum of 15 years) of breast cancer patients. The study follows a pre-post design in which data are collected both before the start and after completion of the intervention. The quantitative component includes standardized surveys using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), Generalizied Anxiety Disorder Scale-7, Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy – Breast (FACT-B) questionnaires, which enable measurement of anxiety, depression, self-concept and quality of life. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The secondary outcome is 13 months. After 13 month, the qualitative component will provide deeper insights into the subjective experiences of the patients through interviews and observation procedures. Combining both approaches allows objective data from the quantitative survey to be supplemented by the patients' individual perspectives in order to enable a comprehensive understanding of the effectiveness of drama therapy interventions. | — |
