Group 1: Intervention group: Two GP consultations according to the Positive Health approach Group 2: Control group: One consultation according to routine care (e.g. health check-up)

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Longitudinal treatment with at least six doctor-patient contacts in the last three quarters - Appointment for one of the following consultations in the next three months: Health examination (check-up), follow-up in a disease management programme, basic psychosomatic care

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - High degree of dementia, severe psychiatric or other illness which, according to a general practitioner's assessment, makes participation appear inadvisable, - Insufficient knowledge of the German language without the availability of language mediators.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement in self-efficacy according to the Patient-Activation-Measure (PAM13-D). The data is collected at T0 (baseline), T1 (after 3 months), T2, T3, T4 (each after a further three months).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
• Effect on depressive syndromes and their severity (PHQ-9) • Health literacy with the short version of the Health Literacy Survey (HLS-EU-Q16) • Improvement in quality of life (EQ-5D) • Assessment of the utilization of resources (costs) (iMCQ)
