Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Pharmacoresistant focal epilepsy - Pre-surgical video-EEG monitoring planned (prospective cohort) or performed in the years 2010-2024 (historical cohort) - Average of at least 3 seizures per 3 months (prospective cohort) - Average of at least 3 seizure-free weeks per 3 months (prospective cohort)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Reliable outpatient seizure documentation not possible (prospective cohort) - Reliable wearing of a smartwatch for >22 hours a day not possible (prospective cohort) - Lack of capacity to consent (prospective cohort)
