Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The participants were subjected to the following criteria: i) playing in one of the German amateur football teams, ii) being at least 18 years old at baseline, and iii) being injury free one month before the baseline measurement session.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: They were excluded if they i) had a history of any musculoskeletal (lower extremity) surgery, concussion, or severe cardiovascular problems three months before the study; (ii) participated in other sports simultaneously; or (iii) missed more than 10% of the training sessions during follow-up or one of the testing sessions.
