Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with chronic, terminal renal insufficiency and an existing indication for mandatory hemodialysis

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Post renal transplant Peritoneal dialysis Passenger, acute renal insufficiency Daily body temperature (measured in ear) >38°C Septic phlebitis Severe cognitive impairment Temporary need for dialysis Lack of artery or vein required for the application

Establishment of a data documentation system for the documentation of epidemiological, procedural and postoperative data.

- Collection of epidemiological data on patients with end-stage renal disease at the CNHU-HKM - Establishment of a digital patient database at the CNHU-HKM for prospective data collection and long-term data retention - Comparison of epidemiological, procedure-related and follow-up data for hemodialysis shunts between the UKA and the CNHU-HKM (prospective data collection/matched pairs analysis). - Determination of quality of life in patients with trminal renal insufficiency at both hospitals using a standardized questionnaire (EQ-5D-5L, EQ-VAS score) - Determination of the duration and frequency of hemodialysis and comparison between patients at UKA and CNHU-HKM (matched pairs analysis). - Determination of the frequency of surgical revisions after AV shunt placement in both countries.
