MeasureTime frame
Determination of specific optoacoustic features of peripheral nerves in the arm compared to the surrounding tissue, recorded with MSOT at rest. These include: a) tissue-specific optoacoustic features (e.g. specific dimensions of endogenous chromophores), b) textural features (e.g. spatial correlations) and c) structural features (fascicle pattern, vascularity, water content, myelin contrast).

MeasureTime frame
1. Early neuropathic features, such as higher or lower vascularity, altered fascicular patterns and vascularity, myelin contrast, higher/lower water content in participants with higher peripheral neuropathy scores. 2. Peripheral neuropathy risk scores. 3. Quantitative measurement of blood oxygenation of the vasa nervosa – with MSOT and with pulse oximetry readings at the index finger. 4. Quantitative measurement of blood oxygenation in the brachial artery during physiological conditions – via MSOT and with traditional pulse oximetry at the index finger. 5. Segmentation a) based on AI analysis and b) by expert clinician.
